One of Our Servants

Sandip Chauhan

Engineer & Evangelist

I grew up in a Christian family in Vadodara, India, where my parents taught me the values of the Christian faith. From an early age, I had a personal awareness of Jesus Christ and a desire to remain faithful to Him.

As I grew older, I began to ask a fundamental question: “What is the truth?” All around me were different religions, and even different sects within them, each claiming to possess the truth. A sincere search led me to Jesus, who said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.”

To me, those words contain the essence of the Christian faith. A religion points a person to a way to follow; following that way leads to the truth, and the truth ultimately leads to life. Jesus, however, did not merely point to a way, teach a truth, or promise life — He declared that He Himself is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The Way, the Truth, and the destination are all found in Him.

I hold a Master of Engineering degree and served as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (M.S. University, Vadodara). Yet, alongside my academic and professional life, my interest in the Christian faith and evangelism continued to grow.

My understanding of Christian service deepened when, shortly before coming to the United States, I visited a mission field in a village in India. Seeing old churches with very few people worshiping in them left a lasting impression on me. I began to understand that the Church needs both the faithful nurturing of believers and the ongoing work of evangelism — helping people hear the Gospel and come to know Jesus Christ.

Since then, evangelism has remained an important part of my Christian calling. I have served as a volunteer in churches and Christian ministries, sharing the Gospel, communicating with seekers, participating in outreach, and helping people grow in their understanding of the Christian faith.

Today, I serve as an Evangelist and a Servant, seeking to be available wherever God opens a door. My desire is simple: to faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ, encourage those who are seeking Him, and help people discover the hope, forgiveness, and new life found in Him.
